Author's Note
This work was written in a conscious effort to give expression to just those thoughts that seemed to demand finding such expression at this time, and to give them a form that holds together out of its own internal logic. A strenuous and similarly conscious effort was made only to make such statements as the author’s own spiritual research justified, without any attempt to adduce “evidence” for their accuracy from other sources. This was done in full awareness of the fact that much of what has been written can only be fully grasped in its implications by those who have a certain familiarity with the individualities mentioned and their biographies, and with the history of the spiritual movements or impulses they represent.
